Surprise Visit!

Members of Riverton Parke's new vocational program had a surprise on their first day of school. The vocational program is called Equipment Operations. Numerous pieces of heavy equipment were on display at RP thanks to valued partnerships with Vermeer and Joink. Students were able to take a tour of the equipment that will be used during this program. This new program is part of the WRCTE (Wabash River Career Technical Education) program. The goal of this new program is to provide an opportunity for students to earn 5-7 industry certifications operating equipment used in the utility construction industry. The class is taught by Mr. Brody Cobb under the direction of the WRCTE director, Mr. Craig Newby. Riverton Parke would like to thank the representatives from Joink and Vermeer Midwest for providing this opportunity, as well as their valued time and resources supporting this new program.
