Riverton Parke FFA Delivers Meals to Local Farmers

The Riverton Parke FFA Chapter delivered nearly 200 lunches to local Parke County farmers on Friday, October 4th. Friday morning, members prepared the meal which included pulled pork, a cold salad, chips, and cookies. The food and black reusable lunch boxes were sponsored by Autumn Mager with Illiana Ag Works, Lee Fordice with Farm Credit, Poet, and Schopmeyer Ag. Members then divided into seven groups to hand deliver the meals to farmers working in the fields. Feed the Farmers has been an annual event for the Riverton Parke FFA Chapter for a number of years. Members enjoy participating in this event as it is their time to say thank you to our farmers for all they do for our community and FFA chapter. The Riverton Parke FFA advisors are Micah Humphreys and Michaela Woods.
