Charles Belcher is the son of Rob and Shannon Belcher of Bloomingdale. He has always excelled in academics, earning over a 4.0 GPA while actively participating in extracurricular activities and holding a part-time job. Charlie is the recipient of the Rising Star of Indiana Award, as well as a two-time recipient of the College Board National Rural and Small Town Recognition Award. He has also earned the Riverton Parke Academic Excellence Award each year.
At Riverton Parke, Charlie has been a member of band (3 years), FCA (4 years), Academic Bowl (4 years), Basketball (6 years) and Baseball (6 years). In baseball, he earned the Most Valuable Pitcher Award as the Varsity starting catcher. He was also named to the WRC All-Conference Baseball team.
Outside of the classroom, Charlie has had a part-time job for four years. He has played baseball for fourteen years, ten of which have also been on a travel baseball team.
Charlie has been a member of the Rockville First United Methodist Church for 6 years and served on the Administrative Council for the church. Charlie has also volunteered in many capacities at the church, including working at the Fellowship Diner, in the Clothes Closet and parking cars during the Covered Bridge Festival.
Charlie plans to attend Franklin College this fall where he will major in Finance.
