The Riverton Parke baseball team defeated Parke Heritage 3-2 on a walk off double by Charlie Belcher in the 7th inning on Saturday.
RP scored in the first inning as AJ Goff led off the game with a triple and an errant throw went out of play and he crossed the plate. PH tied the game in the 2nd inning and took the lead with another run in the 4th.
RP tied the score in the 4th inning. Kyle Price led off with a single and was bunted over to 2nd base by Blake Todd. Ben Todd reached on an error as Price advanced to 3rd. Price would score on a sac bunt by Collett Sanders.
With two outs in the 7th, Goff reached on a hit by pitch and stole second. After a walk to Jonah Hopkins, Belcher connected on a double that nearly cleared the left field fence for the walk-off victory.
RP advanced to the title game by beating North Vermillion 15-5 in 5 innings on Friday night.
Riverton Parke (5-1, 4-0 in the WRC) will host Paris, IL on Wednesday starting at 5:30.
