Riverton Parke FFA Members Compete in State Horse Judging Contest

Three Riverton Parke FFA members traveled to Danville, Indiana, to the Hendricks County Fairgrounds on Saturday, April 12 to compete in the State Horse Judging Contest. At the contest, members had to judge seven classes including: Western Pleasure, Horsemanship, Hunter Under Saddle, Equitation, English Halter, Performance Halter, and Halflingers. Members then had to present two sets of oral reasons to a judge over the Horsemanship and Performance Halter classes. Brogan Griffin, Nyla Neyhart, and Abbi Little competed in the junior division. As a team, they placed 6th out of 17 teams. Individually, Griffin placed 23rd, Neyhart placed 25th, and Little placed 27th. The horse judging team was coached by FFA Advisor, Michaela Woods.
