Riverton Parke Jr.-Sr. High School's National Honor Society members volunteered at the Parke-Vermillion County Humane Society for their annual service day. Members cleaned cages, walls, litter boxes, and bowls. They also swept floors, sprayed dog kennels, walked dogs, spent time playing with and giving love to the animals, and even picked up logs, brush, and sticks. It was a great day helping at the shelter. After a full day of volunteering, the National Honor Society members ate at Taco Tequilas in Clinton.
The Parke-Vermillion County Humane Society is always grateful for the public's support. They are in need of dog and cat food, dog toys, paper towels, dawn dish soap, bleach, and flea/tick medicine for both cats and dogs.
