Hazzard Signs with Pomeroys

Riverton Parke football standout, Derron Hazzard, recently signed a letter of intent to continue his academic and athletic career with St. Mary-of-the-Woods College next season.

Derron is the son of Dan and Holly Hazzard. He plays football, basketball, and baseball. He is a member of the FFA and will be a 10 year member of the Florida Beach Bums 4-H club. He is the co-vice president of the JAG program at RPHS. He has earned Elks Athlete of the Month, football all-conference three times, basketball all-conference twice, baseball all-conference once, and honorable mention all-state. Derron achieved his goal of scoring a record 1,000 points in his varsity basketball career.

Hazzard said, “I am excited to announce that I have committed to play football and further my education at St. Mary-of-the-Woods College. I would like to thank all of my family, coaches, and teammates for helping me along the way. Also a big thank you to anyone else that has helped me get to where I am today!”
