Riverton Parke High School celebrated its annual Fall Homecoming last Friday and a win over Attica, 53-0. Seniors Brogan Collom and Sarah Brown were named King and Queen at the halftime ceremonies.
King Brogan is the son of Lucas and Betsi Collom. He has participated in cross country for 4 years and been the Banks of the Wabash Champion for 3 years, Conference champion 2 years, All-Conference for 2 years, and qualified for regionals twice. While at Riverton, he has also played baseball for 3 years and been a member of the National Honor Society for 3 years. He has participated in the Academic Super Bowl for 3 years and competed at the state level for Math Super Bowl one year. Outside of school, Brogan is a 10 year 4-H member. He has been employed at West Central Veterinary Services for 3 years and Collom Excavating for 2 years. After High school Brogan plans to attend Vincennes University to study surveying technology.
Queen Sarah is the daughter of Shawn and Carrie Brown. She has been a member of the FFA for 6 years and served as an officer for 3 years. She participates in Livestock Skillathon, Meat Judging and other FFA competitions. She has played basketball for 6 years. She is a member of the National Honor Society. Outside of school, she is a 10 year 4-H member and has competed in rodeos for 12 years. After high school she plans to attend a 4-year college to become a speech pathologist.
Halftime also included a class float display that was enjoyed by all. Homecoming week, with a theme of “Homecoming in Hollywood,” concluded with the senior class earning the most spirit points for the class wall, dress up days, and pep session games.
