The Riverton Parke Jobs for America's Graduates (JAG) class participated in the Region 7 JAG Indiana Career Development Conference on January 26th at Ivy Tech Community College in Terre Haute. Students were able to network with other JAG students from their region and meet employers in the area. Students demonstrated what they learned in JAG by competing in individual, team, and chapter events such as: employability skills, critical thinking, financial literacy, public speaking, and entrepreneurship. Five Riverton Parke students earned top honors. Hadley Newman won first place in career presentation, Lillian Tracy won first place for creative solutions, Kyle Price won third place for critical thinking, Kenzie Travis won second for employability skills, and Haley Rickard won third place for outstanding senior. First place winners received $100, second place winners received $75, and third place winners received $50. Hadley and Lillian will advance to compete at the State Career Development Conference in Indianapolis in March. The RP JAG teacher is Kimberly Snodgrass.
