A group of Riverton Parke Junior High School students traveled to Ivy Tech Community College for the 8th Grade Go Ivy Day. The students were able to tour and learn about the different college programs offered at the Ivy Tech campus.
8th grader, Izzy Campbell, reflected, “My time during the Go Ivy Day study trip was educational, and very fun. I learned things from a lot of different fields, like nursing, agriculture, and technology. Everything was very hands-on and entertaining. During one of the stations, I got to learn about growing plants and raising fish. In another station, I got to control a robot using a very complicated remote. I enjoyed the people and atmosphere there, and I think everyone should have a chance to go as well.”
