Two students from the Riverton Parke Jobs for America's Graduates (JAG) class participated in the Region 7 JAG Indiana Career Development Conference on January 17th at Ivy Tech Community College in Terre Haute. Students were able to network with other JAG students from their region and meet employers in the area. At the competition, students demonstrated what they learned in JAG by competing in individual, team, and chapter events such as: employability skills, career presentations, prepared speaking, creative decision making, business planning, commercial and project-based learning.
Riverton Parke senior, Dominik Warne, earned second place in employability skills with his resume and cover letter. He also had to do a mock interview. Kyle Price attended and competed in Prepared Speaking but did not place. The RP JAG teacher is Cierra Earley.
