The Riverton Parke FFA Chapter held their Annual Seed and Silent Auction on Thursday, January 30th at the Parke County Fairgrounds. The evening started with a chili dinner. Both a silent auction and live auction took place. Matt Perry from ‘Matthew Perry Auction Services’ joined the chapter as the auctioneer. In total, over ninety lots were auctioned off. Items for the auction were donated by local businesses and families. Riverton Parke FFA member, Joel Harrah, stated, “We are very grateful to everyone who donated items for the auction. Without their generous donations, this event would not be possible.” In total, over $22,000 was raised. This money will be used to fund the various activities and events FFA members participate in over the next year including judging contest registration fees and materials, National and State Convention trips, meeting supplies, and more. The Annual Auction was planned and organized by members of the Auction Committee, including Joel Harrah, Emily Adams, Mya Kenley, Cash Anstett, Lane Anstett, Colton Suggs, and Jase Martin, and the FFA advisors, Michaela Woods and Micah Humphreys.
