Jenna Batty Awarded University Honors Scholarship

Jenna Batty was surprised Wednesday with a scholarship award from Indiana State University. Greg Bierly, ISU Dean of Honors College, and Kelly Pierce, ISU Associate Director of University Scholarships, visited Riverton Parke Jr.-Sr. High School to notify Batty of her selection for the University Honors Scholarship. The University Honors Scholarship is a very competitive award and is offered to thirty incoming freshmen who meet at least two out of three of the following criteria: a cumulative GPA of at least 3.8 on a 4.0 scale, a 1270 SAT or 27 ACT composite score, and ranking in the top 10% of their senior class. This award provides four years of full in-state tuition to the recipient valued at nearly $40,000.00. If accepted, Batty will be a part of the Honors College at ISU where they will attend leadership meetings, perform community service, and be given the opportunity to study abroad.
