Sixteen Riverton Parke Landscape Management students traveled to the Rockville Rotary Club Community Garden in Rockville on Friday, April 11. Students assisted the Rotary Club members with the spring cleaning of the garden. This included pulling weeds, measuring and marking out the plots, laying new wood chips down the walking aisles, mulching around the perimeter of the garden, spreading fertilizer on the garden plots, removing rotten boards, and repairing and painting a section of the garden fence. Parke Heritage High School students were also in attendance to help with the work day.
