For the second year in a row the Riverton Parke boys cross country team are the winners of the Wabash River Conference.
The RP boys team scored 51 points to edge Attica with 62 and South Vermillion with 65.
Leading the way for RP were Brandon Todd in 3rd (18:28) and Brogan Collom in 4th (18:34). Luke Robertson finished in 11th place (19:46).
The team title was decided by the 4th and 5th runners for each team. The Panthers' Johnathan Harper 21st (20:51), Hayden Hastings 22nd (20:58), Blake Todd 23rd (21:19), and Carson Cox 27th (22:34) secured the win.
The overall individual winner was Fountain Central runner Hayden Kler with a time of 17:30.
Karter Jackson of South Vermillion in 2nd (17:48), and Parke Heritage runners David Lacey (6th- 19:11) and Luke Hayes (7th- 19:12) all earned all WRC.
The Seeger girls team dominated the WRC to win the team title. Seeger placed 5 girls in the top 10.
Hadessah Austin of Seeger was the individual winner with a time of 19:56.
Parke Heritage runner Brook Mace finished in 2nd place with a time of 21:03. Balla Turchi of South Vermillion also earned all WRC finishing in 5th with a time of 22:21.
The IHSAA Sectional meets begin on Saturday, October 8. SV, RP, and PH will all be at Lavern Gibson Course in Terre Haute.
