Four members of the Riverton Parke FFA Chapter competed in the State Crops Career Development Event (CDE) on Saturday, December 10th held at Purdue University. The Crops CDE is an event to promote the understanding of various agronomy topics including identification of crop plants, weeds, seeds, insects, diseases, damages, deficiencies, and machinery, as well as taking a multiple choice agronomy exam, and completing grain grading for six different samples of corn, soybeans and wheat. Out of 54 teams, the Riverton Parke team placed 31st. The Crops Judging Team is coached by FFA advisor, Michaela Woods.
