Lady Panthers Win on Senior Night
\r\nThe Riverton Parke girls basketball team defeated Fountain Central on Senior Night 49-28.
\r\nThe Panthers finished tied with the Mustangs for 3rd place in the Wabash River Conference with 4-3 records.
\r\nThe RP girls team finished the regular season with a record of 10-10, the first .500 season since 2016-17.
\r\nRP led 12-7 after one quarter, but FC had got to within 17-14 late in the 2nd period. RP would close the 2nd quarter with a 12-0 run to take a 29-14 halftime lead and pulled away further in the 3rd quarter.
\r\nSeniors Bailey Duke and Macey Barnes each scored 15 points to lead the Panthers. Haylee Mathas was also in double figures with 13.
\r\nRiverton Parke (10-10) will play in the IHSAA Sectional at Greencastle on Wednesday February 1. RP will face South Putnam at 6:00 PM that evening.

\r\nAlso pictured is Riverton Parke's Bailey Duke (white jersey #34) grabs a rebound in the Panthers' win over Fountain Central on Thursday night. Duke is the first player in school history to surpass 1,000 rebounds for her career. She also set a new single season record with 279.
