Due to ongoing issues with road conditions from the winter storm, all Southwest Parke schools will be closed tomorrow - Tuesday, January 7th. This is not an e-learning day. It is a true snow day. This day will be made up on our Friday, March 14th flex day. Please be safe out there!
Due to the ongoing winter storm, all Southwest Parke schools will be closed tomorrow - Monday, January 6. This is not an e-learning day. It is a true snow day. This day will be made up on our first flex day, which is Monday, February 17. Please be safe out there!
Our Holiday Program, Christmas, S”no”w Problem, will take place Friday, December 20th. Preschool-2nd grade will perform starting at 12:30 PM. Grades 3-6 will perform starting at 1:30 PM. The doors by the flagpole will open at 12:15 PM for guests. If you are taking your child home following the program, please sign them out at the classroom with their teacher. We hope everyone can join us for the program.

The Southwest Parke Community School Corporation is seeking a qualified individual to serve as an aide on our special education bus. Duties include assisting students with entry and exit, properly securing students in seats with safety belts, and monitoring students throughout travel. The Christmas Program will be held on Friday, December 20th, 2024. If you are taking your child following the program, teachers will have a sign out sheet in their classroom.

The Southwest Parke Board of School Trustees will meet in regular session Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at 7 PM in the RPHS Library. Members of the public are invited to attend.

Monday, November 11th, 2024, the school will be celebrating Veterans Day @ 9:30 AM. This will be patriotic day. Students can wear red, white, and blue for the day. We hope to see Veterans and the community here to help us celebrate. The doors labeld Gymnasium (by the flagpole) will be unlocked for vistitors at 9:00 AM.

On the Montezuma website, under Menu, there is a copy of a newsletter, planner, and a button to an entire catalog of parental help items. The resources are for your use, and free of charge to you. They will be there the entire school year. Just a reminder that tomorrow, November 1st, 2024, is the day we have asked that all permission slips be turned in for the Skatetime School Program. If you need another permission slip, please contact your teacher. Skatetime is a program that will bring roller skates to our school and students will learn to skate during PE. This will begin on November 12th. A phone message will be going out tonight around 7:30 PM.
UPDATED LOCATION - The Southwest Parke Board of School Trustees will meet for hearings and consideration of resolutions on Monday, November 4, 2024 at 7 PM. The location of the meeting has been changed. The Board will now meet in the Riverton Parke High School Library. The public is invited to attend.
